It was designed in answer to the increasing amount of traffic taking this route due to the progressive urban development of the Pocito district, the presence of the Provincial Football Stadium, as well as a growing number of industrial establisments, the customs offices and the Pocito Industrial Park.

The highway, which has three lanes going in each direction, will be a modern and safe access to the city of San Juan

DESCRIPTION OF WORKS

The highway, which has three lanes going in each direction, will be a modern and safe access from the south to the city of San Juan The length of this section is 4,580 meters.

The project was designed in answer to the increasing amount of traffic on this route due to the progressive urban development of the Pocito department, the presence of the Provincial Football Stadium, as well as industrial establishments, Customs offices and the Pocito Industrial Park.

The most important tasks involved in this project include:

– Embankments which have been artificially stabilized by the reinforced earth system.

– Paving the collector roads as this is a highway with full access control.

– Intersections with cross streets at different levels, raising the main road surfaces.

– Execution of eight bridges corresponding to each intersection with the cross streets and the two main access points to the Football Stadium.

– Signage and demarcation throughout the highway, cross streets and collector roads.

– Street lighting

– Waterproofing irrigation works

– Land expropriation measures necessary to carry out the proposed work.
