Work began with the construction of exploration ramps measuring 3.50 x 3.50 m with working pockets of 12 to 14 m. every 130 m, including the manual construction of ventilation chimneys in sections of 1.80 x 1.80 m.

The project continued with various and successive contracts including sections of 3.50 m x 3.50 m, including 4.10 x 4.10 sections in entrances, ramps, galleries, sublevels, separated by breaks as required for equipment, stopes and breaks, working always with pockets of 12 to 14 m, approximately every 130 m.

Where necessary walls and ceilings were shored up by strengthening them using steel grids, anchor bolts, shotcrete and / or metal trusses according to the specific geology of the area Subsequent work included construction of manual ventilation chimneys and discharge between different levels, with varying lengths between 20 m and 90 m with a section of 1.30 x 1.30 m. to 1.40 x 1.40 m.

With more advanced technologies, the manual building of fireplaces was replaced with the use of mechanized equipment of the Raise Boring type, achieving a better quality of work and minimizing the risks of construction. The technology involves making a first bore from a higher level to a previously constructed lower level, and on reaching that point the downward drilling tip is replaced by a upward cutting head. This head rises and broadens the diameter to the upper level, thus achieving a higher quality finish.

Different ramps and galleries have been built in different sections and slopes, with their breaks, stopes and breaks along than 24,500 m, 1600 m in manual chimneys, and with regard to the Raise Boring method chimneys of 1.55 m in diameter, over 5700 m were built and some280 m in a diameter of 2.40m were built, while the lengths of the chimneys varied from 60 m to 300 m.
