DESCRIPTION OF WORKS

The project comprises building a sewage treatment plant 30 km from the city of San Juan.

The work involved the construction of two series of three lagoons, plus an additional lagoon corresponding to a future third series, occupying a total area of 65 hectares. The work also included the additional civil works (canals, internal roads, fences, defenses, etc.) and the construction of service buildings, workshops and administration annexes.

Liquid waste feeding this plant is collected by the sewage collecting network in the districts of Rawson, Rivadavia, Capital and Pocito.

The completion of this work sought to provide a definitive solution to the problems caused by the discharges of raw effluents into the natural environment.

The treated liquid is discharged into Arroyo Agua Negra which flows along the eastern edge of the land.
