DESCRIPTION OF WORKS

Expansion of sewage treatment plant in the town of Chivilcoy The plant lies in a rural area 5 km from the urban area.

The works included cleaning and clearing the land, building an extended aeration a reactor (2,700 m3), a sedimentor (22 m in diameter with a drainage bridge, floating screen system and an air lift mud output system), embankments around the lagoon and waterproofing membrane.

Additionally the underground power supply, a transformer substation, grid placement system, metal supporting structures, traffic and safety, replacing the Venturi afforation tube between pumping and distribution to primary clarifiers, entry piping, was executed, the blowers room, mobile chains system, valves, reins, diffusers and interconnections in PVC pipes.

Finally the system was started up and adjusted to go on line. These works made it possible to expand the population served by 23,000 inhabitants.
