New Canal de la Patria

Panedile has signed a contract to build the new Canal de la Patria

A Joint Venture involving companies Panedile-Concret Nor-Mijovi has begun work on the construction of the new Canal de la Patria in the province of Santiago del Estero, a project that will increase water availability by reaching over 300,000 people in province, improving water use efficiency.

The work was commissioned by the Ministry of Works, Public Services, Water and Environment of the Province of Santiago del Estero, and is valued at 8.72 billion Argentine pesos, financed by the Water Infrastructure Trust Fund (Decree 1381/01).

The project envisages the construction of approximately 180 km of a new waterproof, concrete-lined channel from the intake, fed by the Salado River, near Santos Lugares, to the bifurcation point near the town of 9 de Julio and from there to the city of Quimilí.
